Celeste Fitzgerald to Speak at St. Teresa's in Summit

Those of you who were able to attend our last meeting will know that we were trying to schedule Celeste Fitzgerald from New Jerseyans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty to come and speak to us about lobbying at our March meeting. I have just traded emails with Karen Malnati who has graciously offered to combine the Beyond Just Faith March meeting with our Pax Christi meeting. Here are the details:
Monday March 20th
7:30 PM
Avila Room
St. Teresa's School
Speaker: Celeste Fitzgerald
Director of
New Jerseyan's for Alternatives to the Death Penalty
Topic: Effective Lobbying
No matter what your area of interest is you should find this both useful and inspiring. Celeste started out just like us, she was a real estate agent who was passionate about creating a positive mark on society. In 1999 she founded NJADP and has gained the trust and support of people such a Governor Brendan Byrne and Sr. Helen Prejean. Celeste and her organization was recently successful in establishing a one year moratorium on the death penalty in New Jersey. For more information you can refer to www.njadp.org.
I look forward to seeing you on March 20th!
